Rice Pudding Recipe

  • 110g pudding rice – (If you want to have Big Portion Like me add more)
  • i have used long & short grain rice before when i don’t have pudding rice in the cupboard and it has worked out the same way
  • 25g (1 oz) granulated sugar – 50g sugar if you are making for 4 or more people
  • 25g (1 oz) margarine or butter
  • 1.2L (2 pt) milk
  • ground cinnamon, nutmeg or vanilla extract (optional) if you want added flavour


  • STEP 1 – Use some of the butter to grease the bowl of the slow cooker
  • STEP 2 – add the milk, Pudding Rice (Long or Short Grain Rice if you don’t have Pudding rice), sugar and remaining butter and either ground cinnamon, nutmeg or vanilla extract Into the slow cooker
  • STEP 3
  • Give the contents a stir and replace the lid
  • STEP 4
  • Turn the slow cooker onto high and cook for 4 hours or until the rice as absorbed the liquid Stirring halfway through. You may need to add more milk if you think it to thick

when i made this rice pudding it was in rush and i forgot to grease the slow cooker before hand LOL but it was cold outside and i wanted to make some homemade rice pudding
